星期六，一名害怕在公开海域游泳的男子单手救了4名朱美拉海滩即将溺水的居民。

AlvinPancito，30岁，菲律宾人，星期六凌晨2点他正在海滩，当时听到了呼救声。他和他的一群朋友当时在海滩上开午夜野餐。

“救命！救命！一名女性用菲律宾语哭嚎着。”Pancito一开始也很犹豫要不要向媒体说出他的英雄事迹，他说：“我跑到了尖叫声传过来的地方，当时那里聚集着旁观的人群，但是天色太黑了，什么都看不见。”

“我等了一下看看到底发生了什么，看看有没有人会去帮忙。”

但是没有人去救人。Pancito是一名业余的游泳者，他说当时海面波涛汹涌，海浪也在咆哮着。

“我无意间听到一个旁观者说：‘我不会冒这个险，这太危险了。’”他说道。

但是在连锁超市工作的这名菲律宾人不能忽视那绝望的呼救声。目击了事件的他的一名朋友说：Pancito一头就钻到了水里去救人。

AlvinPancito,30,aFilipino,wasonthebeachat2amonSaturdaywhenheheardloudscreamsforhelp.Hewasonthebeachforamidnightpicnicwithagroupoffriends.

“’Help!Help!’Awomancriedinmylanguage,”Pancito,whoinitiallyhesitatedtospeaktothemediaabouthisheroicact,said.“Irantowherethescreamscamefromandwhereonlookersgatheredbutitwastoodarktoseeanything.”

“Iwaitedabittoseewhatwashappeningandifanyonewouldrunforhelp.”

Butnoonedid.Pancito,anamateurswimmer,saidtheseawasroughandthewavesdidnotseeminviting.

“Ioverheardoneonlookersaying,‘Iwon’ttaketherisk,it’sjusttoodangerous’,”hesaid.

ButtheFilipinowhoworksinahypermarketchaincouldnotignorethedistresscalls.OneofhisfriendswhowitnessedtheeventsaidPancitojustdoveintothewatertohelp.
