迪拜：阿联酋石油公司对5月30日AlTwar加油站的火灾事故发布了一个“关键事件调查”。

迪拜民防部称一辆汽车着火然后火灾蔓延至加油站。事故没有人员伤亡，10分钟内扑灭了大火。

星期二，阿联酋石油公司称加油站闭路电视录像的初步检查显示大火很可能是由于汽车加油故障引起的。

同时，阿联酋石油公司建议驾驶员不要在油箱预警时继续行使。一名顾问说道：“不要等到你的汽车油箱快要空了的时候才去加油，在夏季，应该保证油箱内有25%的油量。”

阿联酋石油公司的CEOSaifAlFalasi告知GulfNews：“我们建议油箱油量保持在25%的水平，甚至可以再少一些，因为这样可以减少油箱内蒸汽的累积。”

油箱内累积的蒸汽是非常易燃的。

阿联酋石油公司的声明中还强调了一些基本的安全贴士，比如说不要再加油站内使用手机，将车辆熄火、加油时不要抽烟，也不要将孩子单独留在车内。

DubaiCivilDefencesaidacarcaughtfireandthefirespreadtothestation.Noonewasinjuredandthefirewasputoutintenminutes.

OnThursday,ENOCsaidapreliminaryexaminationofCCTVfootagefromthestationindicatedthefirewasmostlikelycausedduetoafaultinthecarthatwasrefuelling.

Thecompany,meanwhile,advisedmotoristsagainstdrivingvehicleswith“near-empty”fueltanks.“Donotwaituntilyourvehiclefueltankisnearlyemptytorefuel.Youshouldkeep25percentofthetankfullallthetimeduringsummer,”theadvisorystated.

SaifAlFalasi,EnocGroupChiefExecutiveOfficertoldGulfNews:“Werecommendkeepingthetankat25percentorslightlylessasitreducesthebuild-upofhazardousvapourinthetank.”

ENOCsstatementalsohighlightedsomebasicsafetytipslikenotusingmobilephoneswhileinthepetrolstation,switchingoffthecarengine,notsmokingandalsonottoleavingchildrenaloneinthecarwhilerefuelling.

ReferringtotheMay30incident,ENOCsaidateamoftrainedstaffalongwithDubaiCivilDefence“sparednoeffortsintryingtodousethefireusingDCP[drychemicalpowder]extinguishersandwereabletocontrolthedamageatthedispenser,carandcanopyside.”

Safetymeasures,includinghighqualitypassivefiredesignsandautoshut-offandemergencyresponsesystemspreventedthefirefromspreadingoutsidetherefuellingarea,itsaid,addingitwillinvestigatetheincidentinclosecoordinationwithDubaiCivilDefence.
