迪拜RTA称，紧张是驾考学员未能通过路考的主要原因

道路交通局称，驾驶员由于害怕未能通过迪拜路考 测试者在驾考前接受人类心理学和帮助驾驶员冷静下来的方法的训练

迪拜:道路交通局的一位高级执照官员说道:害怕失败和紧张是导致路考驾驶员不能通过考试的主要原因。

道路交通局驾照管理局的主管MohammadAbdulKarimNamat在提到驾考时人们通常犯的错误时说:参加考试时最重要的就是要避免害怕失败或者紧张的情绪。

“信心和控制是驾驶时的关键，如果测试者不够自信，或者紧张的话，他就不能充分地集中精力，这会导致控制力的欠缺。相反的，如果你不紧张，能够专注地将注意力集中在前方道路上，你就会记得去按照步骤操作，比如在变更车道前看后视镜和保持安全的行车距离。如果不这样做的话就不能顺利通过考试。”Namat说道。

为了确保驾驶员在驾考时拥有足够的自信，他说，道路交通局也在让测试者接受人类心理学方面的训练，并且教他们如何在路考前保持冷静。

他补充道:“驾驶员在道路上的操作是非常关键的。考官会考察测试者的操作是否会给其他的道路使用者带来危险，是否会危及别人的安全。”

然而，除了心理和操作方面，测试者在获得驾照前还有一些主要的驾驶原则必须遵守。

主要有5个标准来进行考察，如果测试者没有达成其中的一项，他就会被考官立即叫停。这5条标准之一的一项便是:未能在红灯或其他停止标志和停车线前停车。

“考察路上操作最重要的是看你是否会适时而停，而不是你如何驾驶。如果在需要停车时你没有停，那么你就失败了。”Namat说道。令人惊奇的是，未能在停车信号前停车是一个比较常见的错误。

“这个错误在来自其他国家的老驾驶员中也比较普遍。他们通常都是看到道路通畅就往前走，因为他们从先前的经验中养成了一种习惯，这种老习惯非常难改变。”他解释道。

其他的一些主要错误包括:不遵守交通指示，比如驶入禁止进入的区域或黄线禁停区，缺乏对车辆的控制以及超车前没有确保道路、车道或环岛的安全情况。

除了控制和驾驶员信心之外，考官通常会考察对交规的遵守情况，在这些细小的规则中有16项是必须得注意的。

如果测试者留心了这16项规则中的至少12项就能通过考试。这些规则包括:行车前的车辆检查、后视镜和观察、信号、车道变更、超车、跟车、停车位置、判断、左转、环岛和U形弯操作、右转、行进和车速、路上变速器使用、安全距离以及停车入库和出库。

“驾驶员在理论课和路上训练中都会学习到这些规则，但更重要的是去实施、遵守它们。第一次驾驶的年轻驾驶员学的更好，也更容易去遵守规则，这也是为什么年轻人的通过率较高的原因。”他说道。

要通过考试，测试者除了5项基本点要遵守之外，还必须牢记这16个步骤的至少12项。

“如果测试者在之前整个测试中操作的都非常好，但在最后犯了一个大错误的话，他也不能通过考试。”他说道。

为了确保测试者不会重复地再犯相同的错误，道路交通局将系统与驾校的系统进行了连接，会向训练者发送警示信息，提醒他们不要犯之前驾驶员们犯过的错误。

“我们这样做是为了确保学员能接受到正确的指导训练，再次去参加考试时不会再犯和上次相同的错误。所以当学员失败一次后再次去参加考试时，教练就知道上次他犯的错误在哪里以及应该着重训练什么了。”Namat说道。

每天有超过1800名学员参加路考，只有35％的人能顺利通过获得驾照。

Sheddinglightonthemostcommonmistakespeoplecommitduringthedrivingtest,MohammadAbdulKarimNamat,Director,DriversLicensingatRTA,toldGulfNewsthatthemostimportantthingtoavoidwhileappearingfortestisthefearoffailureornervousness.

“Confidenceandcontroliskeywhiledriving.Ifapersonisnotconfidentorifheisnervoushewon’tbeabletoconcentrateproperly,whichwillleadtolackofcontrol.Onthecontrary,ifyouarenotnervousandconcentratingontheroadproperly,youwillremembertofollowthestepssuchaslookinginthemirrorwhilechanginglanesandthingslikekeepingasafedistance,ifnotthepersonwillfailthetest,”saidNamat.

Inordertoensuredriversareconfidentwhiledriving,hesaidRTAistrainingexaminersonhumanpsychologyandteachingthemwaystohelppeoplecalmdownbeforeroadtests.

“Behaviourofthedriveronroadiscrucial.Theexaminerwillseewhetherthedriverissafeforotherroadusersorwhetherheisathreattotheirsafety,”headded.

However,apartfrompsychologicalandbehaviouralaspectstherearemajoraspectsofdrivingthatadriverhastofollowtoobtainalicence.

Therearefivemajorcriteriaandifacandidatefailstofulfilevenoneofthose,thenheisstoppedfromdrivingimmediately.Oneofthesefiveis“failuretostopatredlight,stopsignorstopline”.

“Themostimportantthingtolookforontheroadisnothowyoudrivebuthowyoustop,thatmattersthemost.Ifyoufailtostopwhereyouarerequiredthenyouaregone,”saidNamat.Surprisingly,failuretostopatsignalsisamongthemostcommonmistakes.

“Thisiscommonamongexperienceddrivers,thosewhoalreadyhavealicencefromothercountries.Whattheydoistheyseetheroadopenandtheygo,becausetheycarrytheirhabitsfromtheirpriorexperienceanditisdifficulttochangeoldhabits,”heexplained.

Theothermajormistakesarenotadheringtotrafficsignslikeenteringano-entryzoneoryellowbox,lackofvehiclecontrolandfailuretoensuretheroad,laneorroundaboutisclearbeforeproceeding.

Apartfromcontrolandconfidenceofthedriver,examinersgenerallylookforadherenceofrulesandthereare16thingsamongtheseminorrulesthatneedtobetakencareof.

Ifacandidatetakescareofatleast12ofthe16minorcriteriathenhewillsucceed.Thesearepre-drivechecks,mirrorsandobservation,signals,lanechange,overtaking,approach,stopposition,judgement,leftturn,movementonroundaboutandU-turn,rightturn,progressandspeed,positiononroadgearuse,safetymargin,parkinginandout.

“Driverslearntheserulesduringtheoryclassesandroadtraining,butitisimportanttoimplementtheserulesoradheretothem.Youngdrivers,whoaredrivingforthefirsttime,learnbetterandadheretorulesbetter,that’swhytheyhaveabetterpassrate,”hesaid.

Topass,thedriverhastoclearatleast12ofthese16stepsapartfromfivemajorpointsthatneedtobeadheredto.

“Ifapersondriveswellthroughouthistestbutcommitsonemajormistakeattheendofthetestthenhewillfail,”hestated.

Inordertoensurethatthecandidatesdon’tappearforthetestcommittingthesamemistakesrepeatedly,RTAislinkingitssystemwiththatofthedrivingschools,whichwillsendtrainersalertsonthemistakesadriverhascommitted.

“Wearedoingthistoensurethatthedriversaregettingtherighttrainingandthattheyarenotgoingbackfortestswithoutrectifyingthemistakestheycommittedlasttime.Sowhenthecandidateisgoingbackformoretrainingafterfailingonce,theinstructorswillknowthemistakesthepersonhasmadeandwhatarethethingstofocuson,”saidNamat.

Morethan1,800candidatesappearfordrivingtestsdaily,withonly35percentcomingoutwithalicenceinhand.
