沙迦禁止餐馆出售能量饮料 市当局停止销售，展示或其他混合饮料

沙迦：周三，沙迦市政当局对《海湾新闻》透露，已经出台禁止酋长国所有餐馆和自助餐厅销售和与其他混合能量饮料。

沙迦市公共卫生和中心实验室助理总干事ShaikhaRashaAlQasimi博士表示，已对所有餐馆，自助餐馆馆和果汁出售店颁发了销售，展示或能量混合饮料的禁令。

AlGhuwair地区餐馆的一名员工告知《海湾新闻》称，“几天前我们收到当局的一个通知，不准囤积或出售能量饮料。”

据另外一个餐馆透露，当局官员最近也给他们递送了类似的通知。然而，并非所有的餐馆均已收到这样的通知。

Rolla地区一餐厅的工作人员说：“作为惯例，我们没有库存能量饮料。我们只销售果汁。”

医生指出能量饮料含有较高的咖啡因，糖和牛磺酸含量等成分—是一种混合饮品。建议应以健康人群消费应持保守数量。对于年轻人或心脏患者不建议喝能量饮料。还有地方出台了一项决议，限制向一定年龄段人群出售能量饮料。

一家杂货店的员工说，官员早些时候曾要求将能量饮料从其他饮料中单独陈列出来。匿名者说“最近，一位官员说要“撤销这些饮料或者罚款”。我的店地处广受阿拉伯青年欢迎的地区。他们是能量饮料的主要客户。这将对我们造成巨大损失。”

但当局负责人表示，零售网点像杂货店和连锁超市可继续销售能量饮料。

当局表示，关于能量饮料的销售是基于阿联酋管理局标准化和计量（ESMA）条例的决议。

官方还警告不要“不负责任”的在食品中使用人工色素即使他们的食品已经都达到ESMA标准了。

DrShaikhaRashaAlQasimi,assistantdirector-generalofpublichealthandcentrallaboratories,SharjahMunicipality,saidthesale,displayormixingofenergydrinkshasbeenbannedatallrestaurants,cafeteriasandoutletsthatselljuice.

“Wegotanoticeafewdaysagofromthemunicipalitynottostockorsellenergydrinks,”anemployeeatacafeteriainAlGhuwairareatold GulfNews.

Anothercafeteriasaidamunicipalityofficialhandedasimilarnoticetothemrecently.However,notallcafeteriashavereceivedsuchanotice.

“Asamatterofpractice,wedon’tstockenergydrinks.Wesellonlyjuice,”aworkerofarestaurantinRollaareasaid.

Energydrinkshavehighcaffeine,sugarandtaurinecontent—amixthatdoctorsrecommendshouldbeconsumedinconservativeamountsbyhealthypeople.Energydrinksarenotadvisedforyoungpeopleorheartpatients.Thereisalsoaresolutioninplacetorestrictthesaleofenergydrinkstocertainagegroups.

Agroceryemployeesaidofficialshadearlieraskedforenergydrinkstobedisplayedseparatelyfromotherdrinks.“Morerecentlyanofficialsaid‘removethemorbefined’.MyshopisinanareapopularwithArabyouth,whoareourmaincustomersforenergydrinks.Itwillbealossforus,”hesaidonconditionofanonymity.

However,amunicipalityofficialsaidthatretailoutletslikegroceriesandsupermarketchainscancontinuetosellthem.

ThemunicipalitysaidthatthedecisionwasbasedonaregulationofEmiratesAuthorityforStandardisationandMetrology(Esma)regardingthesalesofenergydrinks.

Theoffcialalsowarnedagainsttheuseofartificialcoloursinfoodstuffs“withoutaccountability”,eveniftheyareuptoparwithEsmastandards.
