全国丙型肝炎检测活动启动

阿联酋航空学和免疫学会与卫生部一同发起倡议

迪拜：阿联酋胃肠病学和肝病学会（EGHS）周四推出了一个全国范围的测试活动，它与卫生部合作，旨在检测整个阿联酋的丙型肝炎。这项活动受到迪拜卫生局（DHA）、AlamWaAmal与病人朋友委员会支持，在九月初初步启动，并受EGHS监控。

丙型肝炎病毒（HCV）感染将导致炎症或肝脏损伤。大部分感染丙型肝炎病毒（HCV）的患者没有任何症状。事实上，大多数人不知道他们有丙型肝炎，直到十年后，他们在常规医疗检查中发现肝受到损伤。HCV是几种肝炎病毒之一，通常被认为是最具破坏性的。有病例显示，在保险和非保险实验室进行的血清测试中能够检测出该疾病。

患丙型肝炎的病人最重要的是得到正确的诊断。根据一项最近的研究，近80％的HCV感染者生活多年来，没有任何症状，也不知道自己已经被感染。该报告称，在全球有1.3亿到1.5亿患慢性丙型肝炎，其中每年有35万到50万人死于该疾病。

Dubai:TheEmiratesGastroenterologyandHepatologySociety(EGHS)onThursdaylaunchedacountry-widetestingcampaignforcombatingHepatitisCacrosstheUAEincooperationwiththeMinistryofHealth.Thecampaign,whichissupportedbytheDubaiHealthAuthority(DHA),AlamWaAmalandPatients’FriendsCommittee,hadasoftlaunchinearlySeptemberandisbeingmonitoredbytheEGHS.

HepatitisCvirus(HCV)infectionsresultininflammationordamagetotheliver.MostpatientsinfectedwiththehepatitisCvirus(HCV)shownosymptoms.Infact,mostpeopledon’tknowtheyhavethehepatitisCinfectionuntilliverdamageshowsup,decadeslater,duringroutinemedicaltests.HCVisoneofseveralhepatitisvirusesandisgenerallyconsideredtobeamongthemostdamaging.Caseswithindicationsofthediseasewillbedirectedtowardsinsuranceandnon-insurancelaboratoryreferralandserologytests.

ThechallengewithHCVisingettingacorrectdiagnosis.Accordingtoarecentstudy,nearly80percentofHCVpatientslivesymptom-freeforyearswithoutknowingtheyareinfected.Thereportsaidthat130-150millionpeoplegloballyhavechronicHepatitisCinfection,with350,000to500,000peopledyingeachyearofthedisease.
