Rescuemissionscarriedoutbythedepartmentincludedcuttingouttrafficaccidentvictimswhogotstuckintheirvehicles,rescuingpeoplewhogotlostinthedesertandrescuingpeopletrappedinhomesorelevators.

Henotedthatthetargetresponsetimeis12minutes,buttheiraverageis7-8minutes,asresponsespeediscrucialintheincidentstheyattendto.OnNewYear’sEve,64landrescueteammembershelpedevacuatesome3,000peopleduringTheAddressDowntownfire,LtColAlFalasisaid.
