阿布扎比的研究称食物是废物的巨头

大量的城市固体废物来自食物

阿布扎比酋长国2040废物研究计划部对城市废物进行了调查，其初步研究结果表示大量的城市固体废物来自食物。

在阿布扎比酋长国，废弃食物的比例估计占废物回收站的35%-50%

对城市废物的调查历时三个月，来到了阿布扎比六个不同地区的九个废物回收站

这个调查一旦完成，将会给阿布扎比废物研究计划部的发展提供有用的关键信息。

阿布扎比废物研究计划部的负责人EissaSaifAlQubaisi对此次的进展评价说：

“我们正处于计划发展的重要时刻，来自该调查的研究和分析能帮助计划部的成员们进一步完善我们与指导委员会成员共同完成的方案。在指导委员会会议中，我们已经突出强调了此次初步研究的结果，并期待能像完成这个项目的方案发展阶段的初始工作一样继续完成这个任务。”

InitialfindingsfromTheEmirateofAbuDhabiWasteMasterPlan2040’sWasteCharacterisationStudyindicatesthatasignificantamountofMunicipalSolidWasteisfood.

Estimationsoffoodwasterangefrom35%toroughly50%insomewastecollectionareasintheEmirate.

ThefieldworkfortheWasteCharacterisationStudywascarriedoutinathree-monthtimeframeacrossninewastecollectionlots[1]atsixdifferentlocationsacrossAbuDhabi.

Oncecompleted,thestudywillprovidekeyinformationforuseinthedevelopmentoftheAbuDhabiWasteMasterPlan.

CommentingontheWasteMasterPlan’sdevelopment,EissaSaifAlQubaisiGeneralManagerofTadweer,EmirateofAbuDhabiWasteMasterPlan2040said:

“Weareatasignificantpointintheplan’sdevelopment.ThefindingsandanalysisfromthisstudywillenabletheWasteMasterPlanteamtodevelopscenariosthatwecanreviewwithourSteeringCommitteemembers.WehavehighlightedtheinitialfindingsduringtheSteeringCommitteemeetingandlookforwardtocontinuedengagementaswebeginthepreparatoryworkforthescenariodevelopmentphaseofthisproject.”
